CT Scan or MRI in Your Future? High-Tech Scans Require Pre-Approval

Under the Aetna HSA and PPO medical plans, certain high-tech radiology tests, such as CT scans and MRIs, require prior authorization. Before you receive a high-technology test, your doctor's office will need to authorize the test with MedSolutions, Aetna's Radiology Benefits Management provider. Prior authorization isn't required for routine low-resolution diagnostic tests, such as mammograms, x-rays, sonograms, or diagnostic tests needed during a medical emergency.

Liberty Mutual Insurance has launched MyLibertyMobileSM, a new mobile app with two time-saving features:

  • Report Intermittent Absence: offers a convenient way to report periodic time away from work during intermittent leaves.
  • Report a Birth: a simple and easy way for new mothers to activate their benefits following the birth of a child.
