Anxiety and stress have been a fixture of life and work for the past 15 months. Now we’re dealing with a significant life change, going from living in the pandemic to what comes after. To help with the transition, Totally bWell invites you to join the July Stress Management Challenge, Don’t Worry Be Happy. Learn how to tame your stress and ease into the new normal, whatever that might be.
Why do we need less stress?
Stress can overwhelm your emotional balance, as well as your physical health. The goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun—and the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head-on. However, stress management is not one-size-fits-all. That’s why you might want to experiment and find out what works best for you. Now is the time to commit to a stress-busting technique every day in July, earn rewards, and feel better.
Like. OK. So, what do I do?
When you complete a stress-reducing activity every day between July 1 and 30 and log it on mybmcwellness.com, you will earn 15 points for each activity - up to a total of 450 points!
Find the best stress relief for you.
You decide which activity you’d like to complete. You can follow the calendar and complete it in sequence, or you can pick any activity. The Don’t Worry Be Happy Challenge includes stress-busting techniques you can use at home, work, or on the go. Are you climbing out of your skin, or is your mind racing? Do you have physical pain, or are you feeling overwhelmed? Having a toolbox of different techniques ready to go when you’re stressed can help a lot.
The word stressed-out first appeared in print in 1983, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Definition: suffering from high levels of physical or especially psychological stress.
