Annual Benefits Enrollment is Open!

It's time to enroll in your benefits! Now through Nov. 11, visit mybmcbenefits.com to learn what’s changing, then head over to mybmcrewards.com to review your current coverage and see if it still meets your needs and budget.

BMC will offer the same medical, dental, and vision options for 2017. Medical and dental copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums will also stay the same. While there are just a few changes to your BMC benefits for next year, we continue to focus on providing quality health care and tools that encourage healthy behaviors and wise use of health care resources.

BMC provides three comprehensive medical and prescription drug plan choices with free preventive care for you and your eligible dependents: the BCBSTX PPO and HSA plans and the Kaiser HMO (available only in California). If you are in the PPO Plan, this would be a good year to consider moving to the HSA Plan. The 2017 paycheck costs for the HSA Plan will continue to be about one-third the cost of the PPO Plan. Check out MythSmashers to see how we smash all the myths about the HSA that might be keeping you in the PPO. Or see how the plans compare in a real-life situation.

Don't Forget
Remember to review who you have listed as your beneficiaries for any insurance coverage you have elected.

If You Don’t Enroll by November 11

  • If you stay enrolled in BMC medical and dental coverage, you will pay increased costs in 2017.
  • FSA and HSA elections will be set to $0. BMC’s contributions to your HSA will continue for 2017.
  • You won’t be able to change your elections until 2018 Benefits Annual Enrollment in the fall of 2017, unless you experience a qualified status change (life event) such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child.

Lights, Camera, Action — Benetube is Here

BMC offers great benefits and we want you get the most from them. That starts with helping you better understand your coverage. With that goal in sight, we’ve launched Benetube, a YouTube-like channel just for benefits. The Benetube videos feature BMC benefits experts and employees like you in starring roles. Benetube videos are packed with information that we hope you will find useful, entertaining, and informative.
