Annual Enrollment is Coming Soon…

The 2017 Annual Enrollment will take place October 31 to November 11. It’s your annual opportunity to review of your benefit options and choose your coverage for next year.

BMC will offer the same medical, dental, and vision options for 2017. Medical and dental copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums will also stay the same.

The company's goal is to continue to offer you quality health care coverage at an affordable price. You can help with this goal by taking an active role by making smarter decisions when it comes to:

  • Your health. Live a healthy lifestyle. Visit mybmcwellness.com for resources and tools to help you achieve your wellness goals.
  • Your treatment options. When and if you need care, be sure to visit the Healthcare Bluebook site and use the tools provided. Get a second opinion from Best Doctors when you’re not sure about a medical diagnosis or treatment plan, or if you just have questions about your condition.
  • Spend smart. Take advantage of the Health Savings Account (HSA) or the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) to pay for out-of-pocket expenses with before-tax dollars.

Protect Your Financial Health, Too
Annual enrollment is a good time to double-check your life and disability insurance levels to make sure your current coverage meets your needs. For some benefits, if you decide to increase your coverage, proof of good health (also known as “evidence of insurability”) will be required. And while you’re at it, as life changes with marriage, kids, adoption and divorce, make sure your beneficiaries are updated.

Watch your work email and home mail for more information about Annual Enrollment and what's changing for 2017.

Corrected 1095-C Forms Available Online

In February, 2016, you received a Form 1095-C that confirmed you and your covered dependents were offered or enrolled in BMC medical coverage during 2015. Unfortunately, the form was printed with incorrect Employee Identification Numbers (EINs). We have updated your Form 1095-C with your correct EIN. You can go online (click on Your Benefits Resources>Access Medical Tax Form) to print the corrected form and file it with your tax records. You should not need to file an amended tax return based on your corrected Form 1095-C.
